weekend report

Friday was nice, Alaric cooked us a wonderful dinner; salmon with Jersey new potatoes (so fresh the mud around them was still wet), roasted carrots and broccoli - ages since I ate it, though the english variety tastes and looks a bit different from the broccoli we eat in Brazil.

Thank you, my love (aka The Best Cook in the World) - it was delicious. :)

On saturday afternoon, after a lazy, long morning in bed, I decided to do a bit of window shopping and pestered Alaric to take me to The Gooseberry Bush, a gorgeous shop with lots of country stuff. I wish I was brave enough to take pictures inside, but the lady doesn't seem to be very friendly... Whatever. I found a small fairy pink dress, very girlie, that I had to take home. I knew exactly who was going to try it on:

At night we had dinner at Zanzibar with Alaric's client and her boyfriend. Both very nice people. I decided to join them in the last minute, when I realized the other two couples wouldn't make it. A bit unsocial, maybe, but I would hate just to sit there listening to them talking about taxes and money. And obviously being unable to join (due my complete lack of knowledge/interest in both subjects) and feeling invariably left out.

And sunday was spent in front of the TV, reading newspapers and frying frozen coxinha (brazilian recipe, some sort of pastry around chicken meat) bought by Alaric in London. Pure joy.

See, not that bad. But when you spend your whole week inside the house in front of the computer because the weather is so miserable you don't feel like even opening a window... You really put a lot of expectation on your weekend.
Oh well. I'll have to transfer my plans to the next weekend. Hopefully. :)

I gave Emmaleth the 12mm Special Aqua eyes that I got from Gina Rolo on DoA.

Those eyes are absolutely gorgeous. :)

And look - the dress has even small wings... aww. Little cute fairy, she is.
